I discovered this beauty at Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, where it is, as far as I can tell, the only object devoted to Viking glory at that place. It was made in 1916 by some guy from England named Clement John Heaton for a bloke named Arthur Curtiss James, who apparently was a big deal in Amherst, Mass during his day (he dabbled in big railroad business and pleasure boating).
